Eight Light offers a full refund or exchange for change of mind purchases (exclusions include custom made items or special order products), as long as the products are in original un-used condition and packaging. You can return your purchase within 30 days. Please retain your proof of purchase as we will need to see it to process your return/exchange.

To the extent permitted by law, we:

• limit our obligations and liability for the repair, replacement or refund of the purchase price of any goods;
• are not liable for any contingent, consequential or punitive damages arising in any way in relation to the use of any goods; and
• are not liable for any claim, loss or expense incurred by any person resulting from the delivery, non-delivery or return of any goods.

Customers may return faulty goods to Eight Light’s business address with their proof of purchase, within the Warranty Period for repair, replacement or store credit at our discretion.

All our fittings have a 2 year Warranty Period, if installed by a qualified electrician (excluding globes, custom order lights). Warranty Period on all products starts from the date of purchase of the original product only; not when any product is repaired or replaced. The replacement warranty applies to replacement of the product only; any additional installation costs for replacement is borne by the customer.

Warranty will be void if there is any damage due to improper installation, modification to the fitting except from the standard issued parts and features, or used for purposes other than the intended purpose and safety precautions and warnings had been disregarded, or site issues like voltage surges, vandalism or rodent damage.

For the warranty to be honoured, you must submit the faulty product, together with proof of purchase to the original place of purchase or sent to supplier or provide picture or video as a proof send by email. All the contact details are listed in the heading section.

Based on this warranty, if the product not used in the designated country/region, and it need modify then correspond to the local standard, the warranty will be void. Thus, please check whether if our product is suitable for the country before your purchase.

Eight Light is not liable where:

• There is product malfunction or any damage caused by improper use or installation.
• The product has been modified or tampered with.
• Installation has not been completed by licensed electricians.
• Safety protocols have not been properly followed.
• Paint has been damaged due to cleaning chemicals.
• Damage has occurred due to site issues such as voltage surges, rodent damage, vandalism, water damage, and other unforeseen circumstances.
• The warranty does not extend to loss caused by normal wear and tear, fire, liquid spillage, theft, vermin or insect infestation.
• Lights have been used under extreme temperature conditions, as the lights are designed to operate an ambient temperature.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eight Light absolutely disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for any particular purpose. Eight Light gives no warranty that the documents, goods or services will be free of errors, or that defects will be corrected, or that our website or its server is free of viruses or any other harmful components.

Whilst we, at all times endeavour to have the most accurate, reliable and up-to-date information on our website, we do not warrant or make any representations regarding the use or the result of the use of any document, product, service, link or information in its website or as to their correctness, suitability, accuracy, reliability, or otherwise.

It is your sole responsibility and not the responsibility of Eight Light to bear the entire costs of servicing, repairs, or correction. The applicable law in your state or territory may not permit these exclusions, particularly the exclusions of some implied warranties. Some of the above may not apply to you but you must ensure you are aware of any risk you may be taking by using this website or any products or services that may be offered through it. It is your responsibility to do so.

It is an essential pre-condition to you using our website that you agree and accept that Eight Light is not legally responsible for any loss or damage you might suffer related to your use of the website, whether from errors or from omissions in our documents or information, any goods or services we may offer or from any other use of the website. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this website meet your specific requirements. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor’s display of any color will be accurate. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at any time without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time.

Eight Light products may have limited quantities and are subject to return, exchange or refund only according to our Return Policy.

Quantities shown as available in stock are indicative and product availability will only be confirmed once your order is processed. If for whatever reason the product is not in stock your order will be placed on a back-order and you will be provided with a new estimated available date. If your requirements are time sensitive please give us a call prior to placing an order via our website, one of our friendly consultants will give you a more accurate delivery date estimate.

Eight Light shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage or whatsoever should it be delayed or prevented from performing any of its contractual obligations by the Customer, or due to any cause or circumstances beyond its control.

Eight Light shall not be liable for any loss, damage or delay incurred by the Customer, arising from late or non-delivery of Product.
We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.

For the purposes of Schedule 2 of the Australian Consumer Law, in particular Sections 51 to 53, 64 and 64A of Part 3-2, Division 1, Subdivision A of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), Eight Light’s liability for any breach of a term of this agreement is limited to: the supplying of the goods or services to you again; the replacement of the goods; or the payment of the cost of having the goods or services supplied to you again.

You may change your details at any time by advising us in writing via email. All information we receive from our customers, is protected by our secure servers. Eight Light’s secure server software encrypts all customer information before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all of the customer data Eight Light collects is secured against unauthorized use or access. Credit card information is not stored by us on our servers.

Eight Light does not and will not sell or deal in personal or customer information. We may however use in a general sense without any reference to your name, your information to create marketing statistics, identify user demands and to assist it in meeting customer needs generally. In addition, we may use the information that you provide to improve its website and its services but not for any other use.

Eight Light may be required, in certain circumstances, to disclose information in good faith and where Eight Light is required to do so in the following circumstances: by law or by any court; to enforce the terms of any of our customer agreements; or to protect the rights, property or safety of Eight Light, its customers or third parties.

This agreement and this website are subject to the laws of NSW and Australia. If there is a dispute between you and Eight Light that results in litigation then you must submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of NSW.
